 VistaScan Version 3.76 Firewire
Installieren sie VistaScan 3.76 und anschließend starten sie den Rechner neu. Falls der Scanner nicht als "UMAX 1394 Scanner" im Gerätemanager erscheint, doppelklicken sie auf den Eintrag des Scanners im Gerätemanager und aktualisieren den Treiber indem Sie auf den Disk2 Ordner in dem Verzeichnis, wo Sie VistaScan Daten entpackt haben (bzw. Umax Treiber CD) als Treiberquelle verweisen. Nun wird WinXP sie darauf hinweisen, dass dieser Treiber keine WinXP Signatur aufweist. Setzen sie die Installation bitte dennoch fort. Da der Vistascan Treiber mit Windows 2000 kompatibel ist, ist er in dieser Hinsicht auch unter WindowsXP funktionsfähig.

- Optional: für die Installation der MagicMatch Kalibrierungsprofile, kopieren Sie die Ordner (MONITOR, PRINTER, SCANNER) im Ordner PROFILES von Ihrer original Treiber-CD in den Ordner PROFILES des heruntergeladenes und entpackten aktuellen Treibers auf Ihrer Festplatte und führen Sie die komplette Installation aus.
Der Treiber befindet sich auch auf der Windows Umax Service CD.
Alternativ, falls der Scanner nach der Installation im Gerätemanager immer noch mit einem Ausrufezeichen angezeigt wird, löschen Sie im Ordner Windows\\Inf alle Oem*.inf Dateien (* steht für eine Zahl), die die Zeichenkette "UMAX" , "Astra 6400" oder "Astra 6500" enthalten. Danach gehen Sie noch mal in den Gerätemanager und aktualisieren Sie den Scannertreiber.

Install VistaScan 3.76 and reboot your PC. In case the scanner does not appear in the Device Manager as "UMAX 1394", double cklick its entry and update the driver referring to Disk2 folder in the directory where you expanded the VistaScan driver (or Umax Driver CD) as driver source. Ignore the warning about the missing cetrificate for WindowsXP and continue the installation. As VistaScan is Windows 2000 compatible, it also works properly unter WindowsXP.

- Optional: to install MagicMatch calibration profiles copy the folders (MONITOR, PRINTER, SCANNER) from the folder PROFILES of the original driver CD into the folder PROFILES of the downloaded and expanded current driver on your hard disk und select the appropriate components in the setup dialog.
The driver is also available on the Umax Windows service CD.
Alternatively, if after the installation an exclamation mark still appears next to the scanner in the device manager, go to the folder Windows\\Inf and delete all Oem*.inf files (* stands for a number) containing the string "UMAX" , "Astra 6400" or "Astra 6500". After that open the device manager again and reinstall the driver. |
